An immigrant high school student fights to keep her dream of going to college alive.

After being accepted to a top university, ambitious honors student Marta learns she does not qualify for financial aid. With her working class immigrant family unable to pay her tuition, the determined teenager sets out on a journey across Los Angeles to find a way to keep her college dream alive. Through this experience, Marta forms a new and unexpected connection with her community and discovers the power of solidarity.
