Luke Matheny’s “God of Love” wins the Oscar!

I am absolutely thrilled to say that Luke Matheny’s “God of Love” won the Oscar for best live action short film! Luke and I were classmates in NYU’s graduate film program, and I had the great pleasure to produce his earlier film “Earano.” Serving as the “God of Love” producer of marketing and distribution has been a wild ride, which I feel very fortunate to have taken.
Thanks to Luke’s incredible Oscar acceptance speech, a lot of the work we did in advance has paid off in a big way. DVD orders from his website started flying in. The “God of Love” trailer we put together just a couple of weeks prior suddenly spiked. He gained over 1200 Twitter followers overnight. And his Tumblr blog took off.
Special congratulations to fellow producers Gigi Dement, Stefanie Walmsley and Ryan Silbert. We did it, team!
